DM: The Beginnings of masta in music?
masta : I started around 1995. I started to write lyrics. I was not very Rap at the beginning, I was rather trendy "Metal". But this musical style requires a lot of ways, you need a group, there must be cohesion among members of this group. The texts tend course, or I had a strong need to write, that is why I have converted into Hip Hop, Rap. In 1995, as I said, I began to write in french, and you know that in 1995, when you said to somebody that you are rap singer, it was not well received. At the time it was an area that had no place in the Moroccan culture, something to share (the 3alaka), and more than either of the texts in french, it was the apotheosis. Everyone compliments what you do, but behind, they break you of sugar on the back, something that was quite normal at the time. I was solo career at the time, and I discovered a rap group in Mohammedia, which I prefer not to mention the name. I integrated, I had a very good experience with them, and it is with themselves that I made known. It was the only group at the time who was present at the scene of Mohammedia. There is an old proverb that says Morocco (Tmessken 7ta tmeken ...)-is the poor until you atteignes your goals-bah that's exactly what I did because I needed to make myself a name at the time, and this group was my only chance. When I started my curb a narrow path between the many names of artists Underground Moroccan, I left the group (kawlabthoum Bel3arbia) ... Frankness is a virtue ... (laughs) I will not say that I did everything wrong, but I could not achieve what I wanted with them, I was much more ambitious. Immediately after, was the birth of training MC Connect, which began in 2002, is composed of 3 members, there was me, Bo3ou and Younes. This training was just for fun at first, we tried to have a group belonging to the school, just to avoid falling into idleness. There's nothing waiting for this training, it hosted from time to time evenings held at the school, galas ...

JDM: You expect anything from this training, and yet an album has emerged?
masta : (laughs) If you saw the conditions for registration of this ... (Laughs), it did not give much importance to this album. I want to clarify that at the release of this album, our comrade Younes left the training because he was interested in another area, which is the guitar. Bo3ou and me, we continued our small way in Hip Hop. As for the album, it does nothing looked when we had nothing to do, it took a stereo, and it was repeated. We wrote the texts as, and I can tell you that the only person so far with which I was able to hear me bo3ou is good, and lhamdoullah, all was well cared for.

JDM: Can you tell us about the "Dirty Side Production?
masta : As you know, if someone has a gift in a field, it is not obliged to remain limited in the same field, no! If we want to progress in this field, and to be responsible in its guts, when I say bottomed I do not speak of side income, no money, just "the pleasure of satisfaction, personal satisfaction. We just let go its desires, and never say that we will never get there, and we will never be able to do something, far from it. That is why I thought of the town of Mohammedia, because after the experience Slam D'llah, there were Ramime experience, because right now I am preparing a solo album, apart from the composition of the music and the texts that I do myself. Then came the Dirty Side production experience with it I became a centre of interest in Mohammedia, since every rapper who wants to prove itself in its infancy, it comes to me first, he tries to know me to see who I am, how I work, and why and how I arrived at where I am, as a decade-long experience that is not little. I started with very basic equipment with regard to the Dirty Side production, but as they say, "The best quality with less price" (the highest quality for a nominal fee) (laughs). Even with this lack of equipment, we should try to set an example to those who start their getting the message that it is not because you sing, it must be that the song. No! We must give, give everything in this area if we are to move forward, and not remain confined to their areas of competence, but always try to outrace oneself and do something else and renew itself constantly. We when we started, we were the only ones on the town of Mohammedia, now I do not finish you count the number of groups and singers who exist. That's what I have on the music in general, and hip-hop specifically, and if each of us thought like that, and thinking of his next assist and beginners in the field, I think we progressed well, not just in music but in all areas.

JDM: That's because you have found person to help you that you have decided to establish the Dirty Side production?
masta : It's almost that. On the one hand it is good idea, it is already very difficult to be experienced in this area, and even if you are experienced, you are still many obstacles. One should not rely too much to do something concrete with hip hop, we should not be self-lie. Me, my vision is that within 10 years, or 20 years, hip-hop is known in Morocco. But by then, it was with what is a. And how will it be recognized? Thanks to groups that start now in the field. So the Dirty Side production came to aglow in the light of these new groups. Thus, we must do something for our existence because one day, and that is life, we will disappear, it will remain our behalf, so at least leave a footprint.
